The belt speed of the conveyor refers to the operating speed of the conveyor, and its unit is indicated by "m/s". The operating speed not only plays a decisive role in the transportation capacity, but also affects the reliability, economy and operation of the belt conveyor. quality etc. The choice should be made according to the different materials to be transported, such as appearance, shape and physical condition. So in the selection of belt conveyors, how should the belt speed be selected after all? First, when the belt conveyor is carrying a large amount of material and the conveyor belt is wide, a higher belt speed should be selected. 2. The material is easy to tumble, and it is more suitable to choose a lower belt speed if the particle size is small, the abrasiveness is strong, or it is easy to dust. 3. The belt conveyor should choose a higher belt speed when transporting a longer conveyor at the conveying level interval; Fourth, the transportation interval is short, and the conveyor has a larger inclination angle, the slower the belt speed and the slower the transportation speed. 5. When the amount of transported dust is small, the belt speed can be 0.8m/s~1m/s; or according to the material characteristics and process requirements. 6. When weighing artificial ingredients, the belt speed should not exceed 1.25m/s. 7. When using a plow unloader, the belt speed should not exceed 2.0m/s. 8. When choosing unloading truck, the belt speed should not exceed 2.5m/s in general; 9. When transporting finely crushed materials or small pieces, the belt speed is 3.15m/s. When there is a measuring scale, the belt speed should be selected according to the requirements of the automatic measuring scale. 10. When transporting products, the belt speed is generally less than 1.25m/s. 11. The choice of the belt speed of the belt conveyor depends on the adjustment of the ratio of the belt speed and the bandwidth of the belt conveyor. 12. It also depends on the conveying function, material properties, block size, and the line inclination of the conveyor. When the conveyor is moving upwards, the greater the inclination angle, the lower the belt speed; 13. The choice of belt speed should also consider the type of conveyor unloading device. When a plow-type unloader is used, the belt speed should not exceed 3.15m/s.
